Giovanni Rugolo has been flying simulators since 1982. His work as a software developer, web designer and systems administrator gave him the tools to turn that long-standing interest into online services for virtual pilots.
Air Sicilia Virtual
Giovanni founded Air Sicilia Virtual in 2016. More than 5,000 pilots have flown with the airline over the years, making it an established part of the virtual aviation community.
His operational experience is supported by a PP pilot rating on both IVAO and VATSIM, two of the leading global online flight simulation networks.
The launch of SimPilot World
Giovanni created SimPilot World to give virtual pilots a career that continues from one flight to the next. It combines approachable gameplay with detailed operations and a shared economy.
Pilots can earn licences and certifications, sign airline contracts, operate fleets, own or lease aircraft and trade virtual shares in airlines, airports and fuel providers.
For pilots and virtual airlines
Established virtual airlines can bring their operations to SimPilot World, manage costs and revenue, recruit pilots, develop fleets and take part in an economy influenced by pilot activity.
SimPilot ACARS connects those operations to each flight by recording telemetry, tracking progress and supplying the data used for PIREP scoring and career records.
